My Autumn & Winter Fragrance Picks

Now that it is starting to get colder its that time of year again where I switch up my fragrances. It’s time to hang up the coconut scents and bring out my warmer/cosy fragrances.

This year I have 7 perfumes – that may seem excessive but I can’t just stick to one,  I like to have variety. I was kindly sent 4 new perfumes to try out by the lovely Beth at Fragrance Direct and they have slotted into my Autumn/Winter fragrance wardrobe perfectly.

Black Opium

This perfume has been a love of mine for a few years now and every Autumn/Winter it comes out to play again. Don’t get me wrong I do occasionally wear this to an evening meal throughout the year. I love the packaging of my bottle, it was limited edition and it’s just stunning.

TOP NOTES: Black coffee accord, Mandarine and Bergamot

HEART NOTES: Orange blossom, Tuberose and Jasmin

BASE NOTES: White Musk Vanilla beans and Cashmeran

You can buy Black Opium 50ml for £61.95 from Fragrance Direct.

Jo Malone – Pomegranate Noir

A recent addition to my collection is Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir. I remember smelling this a few years ago and not liking it, my tastes have now changed and I have fallen in love with it. I have a few other Jo Malone fragrances and I’m happy this one has joint the family. I love how simple and classic the bottles are too.

TOP NOTES: Pomegranate, Rasberry, Plum, Rhubarb, Watermelon

HEART NOTES:  Muguet, Jasmine, Pink Pepper, Clove, Frankincense, Opopanax, Copiaba, Balsam, Guaiacwood

BASE NOTES: Patchouli, Cedarwood, Musk, Amber

You can buy Pomegranate Noir 30ml for £47.00 from Jo Malone.

Juicy Couture Eau De Parfum

Now, this is my all time favourite fragrance and this is one that I will wear all year round. There is something about this one that is perfect no matter what season and it works well for day/night. It is also the one I get the most compliments on. The bottle is very simple and it looks beautiful. Juicy Couture is one of my favourite brands to get a fragrance from. I don’t think there is a Juicy perfume that I don’t like.

TOP NOTES: Watermelon, Mandarin and Pink Passion Fruit

HEART NOTES: Wild Rose, Princess Lily and Tuberose

BASE NOTES: Creme Brulee, Precious Woods and Patchouli

You can buy Juicy Couture 100ml for £35.95 from Fragrance Direct.

Paco Rabanne Pure XS*

Pure XS is the newest fragrance from Paco Rabanne. Years ago I used to wear Lady Million and Pure XS really reminds me of that. This is definitely a ‘sexy’ scent and I love it. I find during the colder months I gravitate to a ‘sexier’ smell and perfumes which have a stronger scent, this one is perfect for that. The packaging of this is stunning, the ombre pink bottle with the gold snake work so well together. The box that the bottle comes in feels like velvet too which I bloody love!

TOP NOTES:  Ylang-ylang

HEART NOTES: Hot Vanilla and Salty-Sweet Popcorn

BASE NOTES: Sandalwood and Ambrette seed

You can buy Pure XS 50ml for £54.95 from Fragrance Direct

Calvin Klein Women*

Women is the newest fragrance from Calvin Klein and the first ever perfume created by Raf Simons. I would say this is more of a ‘fresh’ scent but still perfect for Autumn/Winter. This is definitely a fragrance that I will wear during the day and I can see myself continuing to wear it in the spring.  The design of the bottle is very clean and I love the image of the eye on the lid. I bloody wish I had lashes like that haha!

TOP NOTES: Eucalyptus Acorns

HEART NOTES: Orange Flower

BASE NOTES: Alaskan Cedarwood

You can buy Women 50ml for £33.95 from Fragrance Direct

BOSS The Scent Private Accord*

BOSS The Scent Private Accord is the newest fragrance from BOSS and my very first BOSS perfume. This is another ‘sexy’ scent and perfect for the evenings. I can really smell the mandarin, but it’s not too fruity! I feel fancy when I wear this fragrance and I don’t know why but it makes me feel really confident. The bottle is a lovely gradient amber with a gold lid, it’s just stunning.

TOP NOTE: Mandarin

HEART NOTE: Osmanthus

BASE NOTES: Dark Cocoa and Roasted Tonka

You can buy BOSS The scent 30ml for £38.95 from Fragrance Direct

Jimmy Choo Fever*

Fever is the newest fragrance in the Jimmy Choo family and it’s my first Jimmy Choo fragrance. Fever is very fruity and ‘dark’. I mean dark in a good way but that is the first word that comes to mind when I smell it. It’s such a unique scent and I don’t own anything like it. The packaging is beautiful and it’s been designed to look like a plum.

TOP NOTES: Black Plum Nectar, Lychee and Grapefruit.

HEART NOTES: Mandarin, Vanilla Orchid and Jasmine.

BASE NOTES: Roasted Tonka Bean, Benzoin and Sandalwood.

You can buy Fever 40ml for £36.95 from Fragrance Direct.

So, those are my scents for this Autumn/Winter and I’m so happy with them. I definitely recommend smelling these when you get the chance.

What is your favourite Autumn/Winter scent?

I was kindly gifted the products marked with a *.  All thoughts are my own.
