REVIEW: Charlotte Tilbury Genius Magic Powder

Recently I decided to delve deeper into the world of Charlotte Tilbury and I recently treated myself to 3 products. One being the new Genius Magic Powder. I’m already a huge lover of the Hollywood Flawless Filter so I had high hopes for this powder.

First off the packaging is beautiful as per all of Charlotte’s products. The design inside is just great, unlike other loose powders only half has the little holes so you can really control how much powder you want to tip out. Normally I end up with way too much and it all fly’s everywhere. Not with this baby though!

The formula of this powder is beautiful, it’s so lightweight and feels like nothing on the skin and it doesn’t give me that dreaded powdery look. The powder itself is light-diffusing which sets down my makeup but doesn’t make me look matte, my skin still looks glowy after applying it – PERFECT! The powder also blurs imperfections and makes your skin look smoother. I have no idea how it does it, maybe it really is magic?

I’ve been using this to set my under eyes and my entire face. It’s been perfect for everywhere. Normally I have a separate powder for my face and then another for my under-eye so this makes it easier. The actual powder does look quite pink in the pot but this doesn’t translate into the skin at all.

The only downside is that they have only launched 3 shades (light, medium, dark). Hopefully, Charlotte will launch more shades in the future.

As Charlotte Tilbury is a premium brand it’s going to set you back £33 but I can see this powder lasting forever so I don’t mind spending the extra money.

What is your favourite Charlotte Tilbury product?
