I’m always on the hunt for a new lip balm and something that’s going to help my crazy dry elbows (does anyone else suffer from dry elbows?!). I was recently contacted by XO Balm and was asked if I wanted to try the balm out, of course, I said yes!
Let me give you a bit of a back story my lips are dry, like always dry. I can’t seem to stop the dryness and I’m not sure why I don’t know if I’m dehydrated or if it’s just the way I am. As I said above, I also suffer from dry elbows which get really sore, especially in the colder months.
The XO Balm is a multi-purpose product which comes in the cutest metal tin, a bit similar to vaseline. It also has a handy mirror on the inside which is a huge bonus. It’s a natural balm which is said to nourish and protect the skin, hair and nails. Due to it being 100% natural it has no smell which I quite like as sometimes balms can have an overpowering scent which is quite off-putting.
The balm itself is matte and I don’t think I’ve ever used a matte balm before so this was new for me and did take a little getting used to. It’s very creamy and quite thick and you can definitely feel it on the skin which I don’t mind at all. It feels like it leaves a barrier on my skin and is actually protecting it which is amazing. You get a handy little scoop inside the tin which I’ve used a few times. I have long nails so using a product like this is normally a pain in the ass because balm always gets under my nails and makes me feel gross!
I was recently in the hospital for 6 days and my lips were a mess. If I didn’t have this product with me I don’t think I my lips would have survived. I’ve used this at least once a day since I received it and I don’t see myself being without it in the future.
The XO Balm costs £12.50 and you get 45g of product. That’s such good value for money as a little goes a long way and it will last you ages.
Have you tried the XO Balm?
