A couple of weeks ago I was asked if I would like to try out Shadow Switch* I’m an avid eyeshadow wearer and this sounded pretty cool. The one thing I do hate about wearing eyeshadow is I normally need 8 million brushes to do one look – pain in the bum!

Shadow Switch is a dry brush cleaner which claims to extract all excess powder off of your makeup brushes, which allows you to use different shades on the same brush (amazing right?) I honestly thought this wasn’t going to work as well as it does. All you need to do is swish your dirty brush around on the wire sponge and ta-da, powder free brush.

The tool itself is pretty small, it fits perfectly in the palm of my hand and would be perfect to take away on holiday with you. The maintenance on this is great too, to clean it you just use water and fragrance free soap and wait for it to dry. It’s also recommended that you change the sponge every 2 months.

Obviously this isn’t an alternative to old fashioned brush cleaning but it’s a perfect tool to add to my collection.
