I FINALLY purchased my first Charlotte Tilbury base product! I had always wanted to try a base product from her range but I wasn’t too sure what. When I had a look at what base products were available I instantly fell in love with this one. It has been marketed as a ‘priming filter’, basically an Instagram filter in a bottle, cool right?
“A customisable complexion booster with the versatility of a primer, the mega-watt glow of a highlighter, and the perfecting properties of your favourite digital filter. Ingredients help to soft-focus, illuminate skin and makes lines and pores appear smoother.”
The product is available in 7 different shades for various skin tones. Of course, Miss Ghost over here purchased the lightest one. The packaging as always is stunning, it’s a glass bottle with a beautiful rose gold lid. The product contains a large doe foot applicator which makes applying so easy.
When I first swatched the product it looked very thick and looked like it would be really heavy on the skin, boy was I wrong! It’s so lightweight and it honestly feels like there is nothing on my skin.
Like myself a lot of people are confused at what you are supposed to do with this product, well let me tell you…
- You can use it on its own for a healthy glow
- As a primer under makeup for a subtle glow
- Mixed in with foundation to add a dewy look to the skin
- On top of products as a highlighter
I’ve been using it as primer mainly but I have also worn it alone and it just makes my skin look beautiful and healthy. For someone that is so pale, I tend to look quite poorly so anything that brings some life to my face is a bonus for me. I’m all about that glow life and cannot get enough of it.
This product has found itself a place in my everyday routine and I will definitely re-purchase another bottle once I run out.
You can pick this up for £30 online or at a Charlotte Tilbury counter.
With the great result from this Charlotte Tilbury product, I’m now on the lookout for more things to try. If you have any recommendations please let me know!
