Every single brand out there has some form of contour and highlighting palettes. They are so easily accessible nowadays it’s difficult to choose which one to go for, highend or drugstore. I own a mixture of both.
The newest addition to my collection is the #InstaMarc Contour Palette. This is the first Marc Jacobs beauty product I own and I was super excited when I found it in TK Maxx of all places, I know lucky right? And it was the only one in the whole shop. I believe this product is available in 3 shades. The one I was lucky enough to find is Mirage, which is for medium skin tones. As you all know I’m like Caspar the ghost but recently I have been using a bit of gradual tanner so I’m not as pale as usual.
The powders are so smooth and blend beautifully into the skin. I was a bit worried at first because the pigmentation is crazy and I wasn’t sure if they would blend out. I had no reason to worry the powder blended super easy and meshed well with the other makeup on my face. The contour shade isn’t too warm but also isn’t too cool it’s somewhere in the middle which works well with a bit of a tan. The yellow shade worked really well under my eyes to brighten. Both powders lasted all day on my skin, I would say a good 9 hours which is so amazing.
The packaging on this palette it’s bloody amazing! It’s so sleek and looks beautiful. It’s also ginormous and has a huge mirror inside which would be perfect for travel and weekend use. I stay with my boyfriend every weekend and I’m always forgetting a mirror, not anymore thank you Marc Jacobs!
I was so impressed with the palette and can’t wait to continue using it. I definitely want to try more for Marc Jacobs in the future. I just wish it wasn’t so damn pricey. But, you get what you pay for right?
Have you tried anything from Marc Jacobs?
