GUEST POST: Real Techniques Sculpting Set

When it comes to makeup and beauty products, the type of products I always want to buy more of are makeup brushes – I have so many that I’ve bought and also that I’ve been sent to review on my blog. When I saw this set on the Superdrug website a few months ago, I couldn’t not buy it…I mean, look at  it! #BeautyBloggerProblems

I already have two sets of the Real Techniques core collection as with the Starter Set and I also have the Retractable Bronzer Brush all of which I LOVE. I know strobing is the new contouring but I still love a good contour so a sculpting brush set was perfect for me.
In the set you get the ‘sculpting brush’, ‘fan brush’ and the ‘setting brush’, the latter is a brush that I’ve wanted for ages. I thought I would use all of them so much but I haven’t really reached for the fan brush or setting brush since I bought the set. However, I have been using the sculpting brush almost everyday I wear makeup for the past couple of months but I haven’t been using it for contouring that much – I’ve mainly been using it for applying and blending my liquid foundations and it is amazing for that!
One of the things I love most about the Real Techniques brushes, as well as the low price point and quality, is that they are all multi-use which is fantastic. The sculpting brush is great for contouring, if slightly too big for me personally, but it is amazing for foundation. The setting brush is great for precise contouring as it is thin and tapered and it is also perfect for applying setting powder under the eyes or around the nose. Lastly, the fan brush is great for making sure powders are all blended well and it’s also perfect for applying a tiny amount of power to the skin.
Overall, I would recommend this set as it is inexpensive, the quality is fantastic, the brushes don’t shed and are easy to wash and they work so well for multiple uses. My favourite brush from this set has to be the sculpting brush even though I don’t really use it that much for sculpting!

Real Techniques brushes are my holy grail.. although I don't have all of them, I have most of them. I don't buy all the sets because they have brushes I already have, and I really don't need duplicates of face brushes.. I don't mind duplicates of eye brushes though 🙂
